Portia Tsotesi was born in Durban South Africa, grew up in Los Angeles and now resides in Miami. Her career in physical therapy is very fulfilling to her but she’s equally as passionate for music, travel and adventure. She took to DJing during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and has fallen in love with music from a different perspective. She loves mixing different styles of house music ranging from soulful to Afro, dance, deep, and some disco. “I love so many genres of music. I am a child of the world and music touches everyone across the globe...no matter what age, gender, or ethnicity.

Similar to Bond 007, “God-D” has an alter-ego, Don Barbarino, which allows him to beautifully purvey and express his intense love & passion for soulful house music as well; an appreciation that he has garnered just as long as his love for hip hop. Trained and molded in hip hop’s school of hard knocks, Don Barbarino has been spinning records for years. Having received major accolades and respect from the entire Montreal hip hop and House Music community over the past 3 decades, “D” is now concentrating into building his own Label with DJ Soul P called “5 Starz Dope Soundz”.

Without pretensions and with immense dedication, the dynamic production team that is Natacha and Ousmane Bary aka Uzi or Uzibee of Soulmeka Productions, have brought its Montreal and international family many memorable, notorious good times and vibes through long-lived club parties since 1996, like the first weekly events solely dedicated to Soulful House in Montreal "Classic Tuesday's,Body Music and Betta Daze" at Jai Bar and Soulmeka, Dizzy and Soultek at Salon Daome; forever motivated to entertain, educate, and establish a welcoming vibe, where joyous like minded persons can come together, and enjoy one another to the beat of a universal drum. Never taking for granted that the house music scene is in a sense is an extended family, your host Ousmane Bary aka DJ Uzi, will relentlessly expand your musical horizons every week by presenting the best in deep, underground house music: past, present, and future through his weekly Internet radio show. Uzi also held Montreal residencies at Jai Bar, Salon Daome, Stereo Bar, The Academy, Koda, Circus Afterhours, Aria Afterhours, Le consulat, Club Alizé and La Panthere Noire.

L.O.V.E!! That is the only way to describe what this man is about. He has love for the music, the people, and the MOVEMENT. Whether treating dancers far and wide to rhythmic surprises or entertaining the masses with his Play by Play House Commentary, this man aims to please. New he may be to the house scene but he comes with a veteran's approach to his trade. Hard to believe that he only started DJ'ing in 2012. In that short period of time he has managed to carve out a pretty impressive niche on the local and international scene. He has played at numerous events for multinational cosmetic giant L'Oreal Matrix in two different countries; is one half of the successful production duo The CaveMen (alongside Carl "Indysoul" Guerard); played at the 2013 Winter Music Conference in Miami, just to name a few of his recent accomplishments. Along the way he has opened up for some of the best in the business like Quentin Harris, Franky Boissy, Tedd Patterson, Jojo Flores, Gene King, Djeff Afrozila, Sabine Blaizin & Joonya T.  Let us not forget the numerous talented DJs he has shared the decks with in some of Montreal's best venues. Underground Revival (URNYC Music) is a boundary-pushing DJ and production collective built on the legacy of New York’s underground dance music culture. Founded by DJ Josh Thomas and DJ Kwab, this dynamic duo draws on deep musical lineages—Josh from his Caribbean roots and early exposure to foundational club scenes, and Kwab through decades of studying African dance, jazz, soca, and global rhythms.
