Why “Harvest for the World”?

In a time of political, social, racial, and financial unrest, we look back to the roots of music that unify us. Inspired by The Isley Brothers’ classic “Harvest for the World” and its soulful house re-imagination by Groove Junkies, Reelsoul, and Nichelle Monroe, this year’s theme is more than a celebration — it’s a call to sow love, reap joy, and gather together through music.

5 Years of AbusiaAnniversary

2021 – The Beginning (#AbusiaBaako)
Our first marathon featured DJs like Esan Ellis, Ralf Gum, Carlos Mena, Coflo, Portia, and Ian Friday. A one-day celebration that set the tone for everything to come.

2022 – Roots and Growth
Though we didn’t host a marathon in 2022, we focused on building the station’s foundation, welcoming new resident DJs, and preparing for greater things.

2023 – Leveling Up
The AbusiaAnniversary23 Marathon spanned two full days, with Ultra Naté, Manoo, Portia, Merlin Bobb, URNYC, Ian Friday and more — proof our community was flourishing.

2024 – 4 Years Strong
32 DJs across three days made 2024 our biggest yet, featuring Ian Friday, Merlin Bobb, Carlos Mena, Oscar P, and many more. All archived on Mixcloud for the family.

2025 – Harvest for the World
Now, we celebrate 5 Years Strong. Expect returning legends, new voices, and surprise guests for a weekend of soulful house unity. This year, our harvest is for everyone.
