WhoisBriantech, also known as Brian E. Nance, is a true innovator in the world of Deep Tech House Dance music. His impressive career began in 2011 with the release of his first official track under the alias Briantech. The track, called Da Mental Groove, was signed by the influential Pioneer of House Music, Jesse Saunders, and featured on his Above the Clouds Compilation series. This release marked the beginning of a successful career that saw Nance create his own Deep Tech House Dance imprint, Tech22, and release several cool EPs such as Da Rise of Tech22 and Deeperside of Tech22. As Nance's career progressed, he continued to release EPs on other labels, including Nightscopedeep Recordings, where several of his EPs were notably mentioned on Spirit of House Soulful Deep House Reviews. He also charted on Traxsource with his Tech Soul Offerings EP on Vicente Sounds, as well as countless other chart-topping releases. Nance's talents are not limited to Deep Tech House music alone, and he has proven to be a versatile musician with a range of styles. He created the semi-underground Deep Souful EP, Northern Light Selectionz, on Stellar Disco Records, which featured remixes by Kiko Navarro and Slotta. Nance has also released newer, deeper, techy, ruffed-up material on Always Moving People and soulful international output from Deep Booth Italy. Nance's latest venture is his project, WhoisBriantech, which was introduced to the world on May 27th, 2022 with the Sole Channel Music release of his Homecoming EP. With his music, Nance continues to push the boundaries of dance music, constantly reestablishing himself and his imprint, Tech22subprintznyc, as the next level of dance floor madness.

Underground Revival is an entity founded in the truest traditions of Dance Music from yesterday, today and the future. DJ Josh Thomas's background includes his youthful immersion in music of the Caribbean, and extensive experience watching classics being built from the ground up. DJ Kwab has cultivated a lifelong study of African Dance and music, and has a deeply rooted understanding of Jazz and Soca, among other styles. Together, this unique tandem of DJ’s possess a fused playing style and talent for production that ranges from the international underground to the global mainstream. As the name implies, Underground Revival was born of an overwhelming call to help return dance music and the New York club scene to its roots: the broad spectrum of underground dance music – including Afrobeat?, Jazz / Nu-Jazz?, and, other styles – all being heard under the same roof in one night. Josh and Kwab have been able to expand their quest for revival beyond the trappings of their local scene. Their monthly residency, at the famed Oasis Party in Montreal, has become a place where lovers of all dance music come to sweat uninhibitedly. In addition to landmark New York clubs and parties such as Caviar Studios, Together in Spirit, the monthly House-Dance-Conference and Turntables on the Hudson, they have DJ’d on NY radio, numerous internet mix-shows, and at some of the most talked about venues in Washington DC, Montreal QC (Salon Daomé, Academy, Delima, Stereo Bar, La Panthère Noire) and California among many other places. Not satisfied with only playing the music they love, Underground Revival has taken on producing and remixing tracks to further their goal of expanding the boundaries of dance music. This endeavor includes works with inspired artists like Les Nubians, Amma Whatt, Aleijuan Afuraka, Tantra Zawadi and more soon to come. Underground Revival unifies to bring you an aggressive, rare blend of eclectic music that makes you move, with a combination of classic and experimental styles that truly defy description. Get a room, fill it with open-minded people, and let Josh and Kwab do what they do best. You won't soon forget how their music becomes a part of you.
L.O.V.E!! That is the only way to describe what this man is about. He has love for the music, the people, and the MOVEMENT. Whether treating dancers far and wide to rhythmic surprises or entertaining the masses with his Play by Play House Commentary, this man aims to please. New he may be to the house scene but he comes with a veteran's approach to his trade. Hard to believe that he only started DJ'ing in 2012. In that short period of time he has managed to carve out a pretty impressive niche on the local and international scene. He has played at numerous events for multinational cosmetic giant L'Oreal Matrix in two different countries; is one half of the successful production duo The CaveMen (alongside Carl "Indysoul" Guerard); played at the 2013 Winter Music Conference in Miami, just to name a few of his recent accomplishments. Along the way he has opened up for some of the best in the business like Quentin Harris, Franky Boissy, Tedd Patterson, Jojo Flores, Gene King, Djeff Afrozila, Sabine Blaizin & Joonya T. Let us not forget the numerous talented DJs he has shared the decks with in some of Montreal's best venues. Armed with an ever-present smile and driven by what most have described as an endless supply of energy and determination; Esan knows only one way to approach his trade…ALL OUT!!! "LEAVE NO DANCER STANDING" Esan "UDUNDIDIT!" Ellis
Let's go back before our most memorable dee-jays, Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy. Before our most memorable clubs, the Garage (NYC), Warehouse (Orig Chicago) and Music Box (Chicago). There was another lost but not forgotten jock, a foundation upon which many others have built careers without even knowing it; DJ Tee Scott. If you are a true dee-jay and not a record spinner like so many today, if […]
Bruce Forest’s long residency at midtown Black gay club Better Days is one of clubland’s more unlikely stories. Forest was the white middle class kid who won over the hearts and feet of a tough New York crowd who didn’t take kindly to an impertinent upstart replacing their beloved Tee Scott. He eventually won them over and stayed until it shut down in 1988. Thanks to his fascination for […]
